Helping to reopen King George's Hall
6 October 2026
We’ve had a brilliant time recently, joining our friends Blackburn People’s Choir for a very special concert to celebrate the reopening of the newly refurbished King George’s Hall. It was lovely to sing alongside them, as well as singers from our Musical Director’s other choirs from across the North West, making it a real celebration of all things acappella!
We were also treated to a fantastic set from the Red Rosettes Show Choir, who brought plenty of energy and sparkle to the evening. With a huge audience filling the hall, the atmosphere was amazing, and things really came to life when everyone joined together for a big singalong at the end. It was an evening we’ll definitely remember.

Becoming the resident choir in an orchard
13 September 2026
An unusual claim, but one we think we can justifiably make!
Back in January, we were invited to join the Wassail at Ordsall Hall, an ancient (and noisy) winter tradition to encourage a good apple harvest.
We then returned on a beautiful April morning for Blossom Day, and were back a couple of weeks ago to help celebrate the harvest. The sun shone again, a lovely crowd joined us as we did a short performance under the trees, and (of course) sampled some of the delicious apples.
Are we now the first 'Choir in Residence' at an orchard? Maybe!
Thanks Ordsall Hall, we've loved all our visits, and hope there'll be many more.

Hosting the first Salford Festival of Singing
13 September 2026
In a brand new venture for us, we welcomed six choirs from across the city to a packed-out Eccles Town Hall for a celebration of music-making and community.
Thank you and bravo to: Monton Voices Community Choir, Bridgewater Choir, Local Vocals, Vocal Sounds Choir and Eccles Community Choir - you were all fantastic.
Thank also you to Councillor Robin Garrido, Ceremonial Mayor of Salford for joining and supporting us, and to the team at Eccles Town Hall for hosting us so brilliantly.
Finally, thanks to the Salford Centenary Fund for the grant to helps us make this happen.

Buxton Festival Fringe Award Win: Best Vocal Performance
20 July 2026
We were thrilled to pick up the award for Best Vocal Performance at Buxton Festival Fringe, for the second year in a row.
Buxton is one of the highlights of our year, and each July we perform two concerts; at the United Reformed Church, and St Mary's. Thanks to our lovely audiences for coming out and joining us there.
See you in 2027, Buxton!
